The subject I have decided to explore are the ways in which female artists represent themselves in their videos and why? Focusing mainly on the contrasting work of Britney Spears, Sugababes and Robyn.

Originally I was going to look at how men represent women in their videos however I decided that looking at it from the female artists angle would be more interesting and would widen my knowledge of how women are perceived and portrayed by themselves rather than by someone else. For the purpose of this investigation I am going to focus on Modern artists who have recently released songs with music videos.
